The Oxford Constructing Excellence Club invites you to join fellow professionals in the construction industry for a networking breakfast between 7.30am and 9.00am.  Attendance is free to members of the Oxford Constructing Excellence Club and for one guest per member, but places must be booked in advance.

No presentations, no long speeches, just the opportunity to make new contacts and find out what is happening in the construction market in Oxfordshire.

Special guests: Oxfordshire County Council

At this breakfast we will be joined by representatives from Oxfordshire County Council who want to talk to as many people as possible, to promote their upcoming frameworks.

Oxfordshire County Council delivers 80 per cent of local government services in the county. In working to deliver these services they have in mind an ambition for a county that has a strong and thriving economy - with small businesses starting, existing small businesses growing and large businesses choosing to locate here, creating good jobs for local people.

They also recognise that the growth of housing, constraints upon local government finance and their target to make the council carbon neutral by 2030 will bring forward a major investment programme in the creation of school places, remodelling and creation of new buildings to respond to changes in the way that they will deliver services and rationalisation and reworking existing buildings to make them more efficient and effective.

Their ability to respond to the challenge faced relies heavily upon the supply chains for the delivery of professional services and construction. The county council is therefore working to procure two frameworks of providers, one for multi-disciplinary professional services and one for construction services to help us deliver this ambitious programme and it is hoped that this will go to market via ‘’Contracts Finder’’ in the spring of 2020. They will also be procuring frameworks to deliver smaller scale works and Facilities Management support services later in 2020.
