With Brexit looming, deal or no deal, Richard Wade will explore some of the risks and considerations for construction professionals faced with carrying on business as usual, and working with European supply chains in this brave new world.

Rory Abel will explore the impact of COVID-19 on construction contracts and provide some thoughts on the current market position.

There will be time for questions from the audience.


Biographies 

Richard is head of Blake Morgan's Construction Team with more than 25 years' experience of giving specialist construction advice. He works across a variety of sectors including infrastructure, commercial, retail & leisure, housing and not-for-profit organisations such as schools, colleges and trusts as well as for a range of lenders. His insight into the broad spectrum of challenges faced by the construction sector has enabled him to be a trusted adviser within the regional and national market place, commenting on key strategic and politically sensitive projects.  

Rory is a Senior Associate in the Construction and Engineering Team at Birketts LLP. He specialises in non-contentious construction matters acting for developers, funders, consultants and those in the supply chain across a range of different sectors.
