Bullingdon Community Centre Tour

We invite you to join us for a site visit to Bullingdon Community Centre, for a tour, talk and networking at this recently completed building.
This Jessop & Cook Architects designed building for Oxford City Council was handed over to the Community Association a week before Christmas 2022.
Jessop & Cook will be on hand for the site visit to explain about modern methods of construction used for this new building, including the offsite fabrication of the Larsen Truss timber frame. The design took a fabric first approach with a low form factor, high levels of insulation and excellent air tightness. An MVHR system and solar panels have been installed to minimise energy demand, which along with no gas appliances reduces the building’s in-use carbon footprint and makes energy bills affordable for the association.
The new community centre has replaced the much loved former building and is managed by a local group of devoted trustees with the support of the Council. The building will provide much needed, high quality spaces for the local community to use.
