Seminar: Biodiversity Net Gain in Construction

17:30, 26th February 2025

Room JHB308, John Henry Brookes Building,  Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, OX3 0BP

Presenter: Jacob Hepworth-Bell, Aurochs Ecology

Biodiversity net gain (BNG) is a way of creating and improving natural habitats. The intent of BNG is to make sure that developments have a positive impact on biodiversity.  What does this mean in reality, and how does it impact developments and construction projects?  Join us for an informative presentation on the practicalities of achieving BNG followed by a Q&A session.

Our presenter Jacob has worked as an ecological consultant for over 10 years and advised on large & complex development schemes with a particular focus on addressing protected species and designated site issues.

There will be an opportunity for networking at this event from 5.30pm, with the presentation commencing at 6pm. Tea & coffee will be provided.
