Professor Christian Koch in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark, Odense, www.sdu.dk has recently completed a white paper for a building association (Molio a sister to NBS/UK) on the key characteristics of the Swedish House Building Sector. A large portfolio of houses in  Sweden are prefabricated, with modular construction firms like Lindbäcks and BoKlok (previously Skanska and IKEA) producing large volumes of factory-built housing.  Comparing traditional methods with industrial building production Professor Koch has investigated enterprise and business development in Denmark and will in his talk look into  the potential to transfer the learnings from Sweden to other countries including the UK.
